At a time when many schools are laying off staff and making major cutbacks, a high school in Chicago's suburbs is celebrating the completion of a $52-million renovation.
Accompanied by the school band, Riverside-Brookfield High School dedicated the project with a ribbon cutting Sunday.
It is being called a "century of building excellence." ...
The 80,000-square-foot addition includes a new school atrium, classrooms and science labs, among other scholastic and athletic facilities.
