From posters to tours and school visits to plans for a possible Habitat for Humanity community, a week to focus on architecture drew participants of all ages.
Members of the Northeast Illinois chapter of The American Institute of Architects planned several events for the community in mid-April, as part of “Design Matters,” this year’s theme for Architecture Week.
Events included open houses for high school students, at FGM Architects in Oak Brook, Kluber, Inc., in Batavia and Wight & Company in Darien, plus visits by chapter members to elementary and middle schools throughout the suburbs.
