Vice President, Architecture, Chicago Office Director

As Vice President, Jim leads Wight & Company's design teams for projects covering a range of clients, from corporate headquarters and offices, to educational facilities and large-scale government buildings. He has more than 20 years of professional experience working with public and private clients throughout the management of projects, from their planning to their completion.

As the leader of our Chicago office, Jim is responsible for the business development and the overall success for projects executed by the Chicago design team. Always attentive to client needs, budget goals and superior design, Jim has acted as a client advocate, project director, project manager, and lead designer for new projects and renovations.

Jim is a licensed architect in the State of Illinois and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He holds a bachelor's degree with honors in architecture from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas and is a LEED® Accredited Professional. Jim serves on the Board of Directors and is a Gala Committee member for the Friends of the Chicago River. He is also a member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the US Green Building Council, and the International Facility Management Association.
