Design–Build
Representing the client’s vision through architectural expression
Whether delivering integrated design and construction services or teaming with another builder, Wight strives to create an architectural expression that represents the client’s desires, needs and culture.
Clear communication at the outset of each project is the most important step in creating designs that delight our clients. Consequently, our first priority is always to understand the client’s needs and the project’s user requirements. Our designers can team with other builders, or they can facilitate the client’s vision through our integrated delivery approach. Regardless of the approach, they work closely with engineers and constructors through a variety of methods. For example, our designers use building information modeling (BIM), which enables all of our professionals to work from one information source in a real-time application. BIM keeps our architects, engineers, and constructors in synch throughout the project. It’s just one of the many tools we employ to streamline our integrated delivery method.
Whether the project involves a new school or historical facility, a public office building, a corporate headquarters, or a mixed-use high rise, our architects enter the process early and continue their work until the client’s vision becomes a reality.
