Emergency Industry Services
Taking control of unexpected situation so our clients can relax
Wight’s Emergency Industry Services (EIS ) Team assists clients when the unforeseen—and sometimes unthinkable—happens during the design and construction process of a project. Comprised of key personnel in the departments of design, engineering, estimating, and construction, the EIS Team is able to swiftly take control of unexpected industry situations that jeopardize successful project completion.
Our team assesses each project and situation and develops an appropriate plan of procedure (POP), complete with communications, management, and staffing protocols. In addition, our team’s experience in all aspects of the building industry allows us to accurately provide options for each client, including project cost and schedule impacts.
While Wight provides traditional design and construction services to a variety of clients from programming through warranty, our EIS Team is fluid and can quickly intervene where another architect, engineer, or builder has been deficient.
Natural Disasters
The EIS Team can quickly assemble the necessary professionals in cases of flash flooding, tornado, hail, or other natural disasters that pose a threat to the usability or safety of a building. Wight utilizes its in-house staff and its relationships with specialty consultants to provide the necessary expertise and laborto resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
Workforce Shortfalls
Wight’s EIS Team is experienced with mitigating construction site issues involving sudden workforce shortages. In the event of a labor strike or similar halt in production, Wight uses relationships with trades and contractors throughout the Midwest to provide a temporary solution during construction. The EIS Team then acts as a third-party mediator where permissible, working to amicably resolve labor issues to minimize effects on schedule and budget.
