Green design is only part of the story.

Sustainable construction begins before the first shovel hits the ground. As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Wight is well practiced at incorporating varying degrees of sustainability to each project. Using the LEED green building rating system counts as one option toward creating a green project, but it’s not the only option. At Wight, we apply Shades of Green through all of our integrated services.

Whether or not the project is targeting one or more of the various LEED designations, we use environmentally friendly practices whenever possible. Our construction professionals develop site logistic plans to implement sustainable site measures and waste management programs. During construction, we employ numerous procedures to reduce the impact to both people and the environment, while paying particular attention to indoor environmental quality. This approach is standard procedure at Wight & Company. We believe it benefits the project, the community and the Earth.
