Joliet Township High Schools,
Joliet, IL
Type: PK-12 Education
Over the past 9 years Joliet THSD 204 has partnered with Wight to develop and oversee implementation of a Master Plan to its 100 year old campus which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Work has included a new Vocational Technology lab, indoor air quality and air-conditioning improvements and historic window replacements. After completion of a 16-classroom mathematics and computer literacy addition, voters overwhelmingly passed a $24 million referendum to build new field house additions at both the West Campus and Central Campus. The new field houses provide each campus state-of-the art recreational and athletics facility for expanded athletic and intramural programs, as well as improved practice and competition facilities to meet IHSA requirements. The field house additions have been designed to blend with the character of the existing campus and architecture of the school.
