Designing and constructing a new Village Hall that meets today’s needs and allows for tomorrow’s expansion.

Village Hall
Village of Elwood
Elwood, IL

Forecasts of population growth led the Village of Elwood to commission Wight & Company to design and construct a new Village Hall that would include a police station and new shared space for village offices, community meetings, and council chambers. The police station component included an interrogation room, holding cells, and conference room. We designed this new municipal complex to accommodate future growth and the potential addition of other municipal buildings on the site. Simultaneous to the Village Hall project, the Village of Elwood asked that we take over as construction manager on a new roadway project outside of the hall; we were able to streamline both projects with a single point of contact which led to cost savings for the client. The project was constructed in one year and completed under budget.
