The First United Methodist Church of Chicago Aid Society selected Wight & Company to provide architectural/MEP and construction management services for infrastructure replacement and upgrades to the historic 30-story, 220,000 sf mixed-use Chicago Temple Building. The 1924 building has 23 floors dedicated to religious and office use. It is the tallest church building in the world. The project consisted of major infrastructure updates to the building, including MEP and life safety, as well as bathroom and corridor improvements. All work was completed while the building remained occupied and required careful coordination.
