Private offices are flexible enough to accommodate dual users and quickly adjust to staff fluctuations. Lighting and HVAC systems are digitally controlled and can adjust to changes in daylight and occupancy.
With a company-wide commitment to achieve environmental certification for all of their buildings, the success at Franklin Center resulted from a shared vision between Citigroup and Wight & Company. Several of the sustainable strategies we implemented throughout the various stages of this project included daylight harvesting, water efficient fixtures, purchasing of Green Power, utilization of low-VOC products, and enhanced commissioning. We also focused on furniture reuse and the utilization of local and regional materials, diverting as much waste from landfills as possible. In addition, our implementation of green educational and comprehensive ergonomic programs helped improve employee comfort and productivity.
The space achieved LEED-CI Gold and LEED-EBOM certification.
