The IBM Building, 330 North Wabash, is a modernist masterpiece by Mies van de Rohe completed in 1973 and located at the riverfront in the heart of Chicago. After his death, his grandson, Dirk Lohan, completed the project at the start of his career. The Langham Hospitality Group commissioned Wight to complete a refurbishment and conversion of floors two through 13 of the original landmark building into a luxury hotel. The interior architecture beautifully integrates The Langham’s exclusive and elegant design sensibility with the mid-century modern Miesian character of the building.
