Librarians at Elmhurst College’s A.C. Buehler Library have recognized the changes taking place in the information environment and believe that college librarians have important roles on campus as teachers, research collaborators, technology leaders, and “encouragers of intellectual inquiry.” This vision led directly to the reconfiguration of the A.C. Buehler Library. Wight focused the remodeling efforts around a Librarian Consultation area. This work space invites students to partner either individually or in groups with librarians during research assignments.
