SEIU Healthcare (SEIU) is an employee service union representing home health care, nursing home care, and child care for over 85,000 workers in Illinois and Indiana. Following a merger of three unions, SEIU needed to find a new 70,000-sf headquarters to house their organization. Wight and their real estate team assisted SEIU in the extensive search for the “right” building to carry their brand identity forward.
Wight provided programming, test-fits, building due diligence, and lease and work letter reviews. Final negotiations depended on pre-design sketches for a new entry and canopy, modifications to the building for a new 300-person member hall, and scope narratives for base building features.
