The Bachelors Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) project was a pilot project for the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and it’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system for buildings. Wight performed design, civil engineering, and sustainable design services for the project, which earned LEED Certification after completion. BEQ was a pilot project in the USGBC’s Sustainable Showcase and the first project in Illinois, and one of the first in the nation, to earn such a designation.
