A new courthouse, to address population increases for DuPage County, was designed by Wight in collaboration with HOK. The facility adjoins the existing jail facility to form a comprehensive government complex. The four-story structure includes separate circulation patterns for prisoners, judges and staff, and the public to increase security levels. The groups only meet in courtrooms. Each courtroom is appointed with wood, stone, and fabric materials to establish a background of dignity and tradition.
