After being retained as District Architect, Wight was tasked with a major renovation and expansion of Westmoor Elementary School. The project included a new 10,000-sf pre-kindergarten Early Childhood and Extended Day Kindergarten classroom addition, a new secure main entry and administrative office addition, and a new Library Media Center. The building was designed to be more inviting by modifying a roofline and incorporating a green roof, adding trellis accents at classroom and entry windows, and allowing daylight to penetrate further into the classrooms.
